Volunteers

Beenleigh Special School has an active volunteer program which allows for community members and vocational studies students to support the education programs of the school. Our volunteers are involved in a wide variety of activities which assist students to attain their individual learning goals, independent living skills and work skills.
Blue Card: State legislation requires volunteers to possess a valid blue card before commencing work as a volunteer. Beenleigh Special School is able to assist people wishing to volunteer at the school in obtaining a blue card

Student Protection: This procedure outlines the roles and responsibilities of employees and visitors to state schools when dealing with student protection concerns and responding when it is suspected that a student, or an unborn child, has been harmed or is at risk of harm.

Code of Conduct: The Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service is intended to ensure the public service embodies the highest ethical standards and help achieve greater awareness of the positive values underpinning the public service.
The Code of Conduct applies to:
 - any Queensland public service agency employee whether permanent, temporary, full-time, part-time or casual, and
 - any volunteer, student, contractor, consultant or anyone who works in any other capacity for a Queensland public service agency.
